The SpiritNewsletter – May 2018

This has been quite a season of change, learning, and adaptation. We celebrated the resurrection of Christ on Easter Sunday after we visited with the story of Jesus’ passion and death. We are reminded that the darkness of death it is always superseded by the beauty of life anew through our faith in Jesus.

As a community of faith, I see buds sprouting everywhere as opportunities for ministry emerge. Connecting with the community that surrounds us continues to be our main focus and priority. The community we serve, needs us here: present and vibrant.

This season of changes can also be a season of uncertainty as bishops all over the United Methodist connection are prayerfully making pastoral appointments. We do not expect any changes, so I look forward to the new year starting in July 1 as an opportunity to dive deeper into the work we’ve started together. There is so much more we can accomplish together!

Christ counts on us to make it happen!

We continue to pray for God’s guidance, mercy, and gentleness to infuse in our lives so that we too can be healing balms to a hurting world.

Have a Blessed Eastertide, Pastor Teresita.
