As United Methodists, “on Laity Sunday, we celebrate that we are all called, laity as well as clergy, to go and make disciples. We are called to be the church together in a world so desperately in need of hope.”  -umcdicipleship.org

At Totowa UMC, we welcomed CUMAC’s new executive director Mark Dinglasan, who brought an encouraging word based on  Romans 5:3-5 (NRSV)

3 And not only that, but we[a] also boast in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, 4 and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, 5 and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit that has been given to us.

Pastor Teresita blessed the hands of each leader and supporter, with water and prayer.  Each leader received a beautiful devotional for leaders titled “Make an Eternal Difference” and was personally thanked for their work in ministry by our administrative council chair, Janice DeFaro.
